Bdawg says: What a great unique cigar. Unique shape, unique packaging, and unique flavor. Foundry is a stark juxtaposition between the old and the new. This visually-arresting collection was inspired by the art form of "steampunk," which is both a retrospective and futuristic interpretation of innovation. It features a metal gear around encircling the brand. It was just introduced at the 2012 IPCPR.

The wrapper is light brown, oily and rustic. The angled foot lit very well and created a nice start to the cigar. The ash was powder white. The flavor unique and complex, rich, smooth, sweet spice and cedar. Very aromatic. I would have rated this cigar a 4, but it had a minor uneven burn problem. One retouch quickly fixed the problem. The retouch caused it to burn just a little fast.

A close up of the metal gear ring.

The foot is cut at an angle.
