Bdawg says: This is a limited edition cigar. I am a fan of Camacho, especially the Triple Maduro, and was anxously looking forward to trying this one. I was unfortunately a little disappointed. Per Camacho's website: The New Camacho BLACKOUT Limited Edition 2013 utilizes tobaccos from 4-different years. Wrapper grown in 2006, Binder from 2009, Fillers from 2003, 2008, 2009. The rolled cigars were then aged together another 2-years, when the marrying process is normally just a few months.
The wrapper was deep dark blackish brown, oily, and veiny. The draw was easy, creating extreme amounts of smoke. The flavor is intense, strong, earthy, a little dirty and harsh for my liking. The burn was slow and even.
