Bdawg says:  Candela wrappers once were the preferred smokes of Americans.  They are also known as American Market Selection. (Natural cigars, the ones that make up the vast majority of today's cigar market, were dubbed English Market Selection.) From the late 50's to the early 70's Americans smoked billions of Candela cigar.  The green color is not made by using underage leaves.  It is a result of a unique curing process.

Candelas’ green color can be created more quickly during the curing process but takes extreme high temperatures in the curing barn. Workers must gradually increase the heat and monitor the humidity. It is labor intensive but fast.
I am a huge fan of Candela wrappers, and this cigar from Alec Bradley does not disappoint.
The wrapper is bright yellowish green, lumpy, and rustic.  The draw is easy, producing great clouds of billowy smoke and a gray ash.  The flavor is mellow, a little light pepper, grassy, sweet cream.  As the smoke continues the pepper flavor intensifies slightly.  The burn was slow and even.

I enjoyed this cigar on St. Patrick's Day weekend
with a Jameson Irish Whiskey on the rocks.
