Bdawg says:  Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon is one of my favorites.  In April 2014, I was fortunate enough to visit their beautiful distillery.  While there, I bought 2 bottles of Private Selection OBSF.  This is one of 10 special recipes only sold at the distillery.  And they are only available from time to time.  Read more about the Four Roses 10 Recipes HERE.

This recipe uses a higher 35% Rye mashbill and their "F" Herbel essence yeast.  The color is dark copper, much darker than the Standard 100 proof Four Roses Single Barrel.  The flavor; full, cocoa and mint.  With a long burning finish.  Try to mellow this out with a little ice and you'll find it doesn't mellow much.  This one is a little harsh for me.  On the plus side, it stands up very well to a cigar.
