Bdawg says: Elysian Fields (a taproom of Elysian brewing) opened in 2006 in the stadium district south of downtown Seattle. It is located across the street from Century Link Field and just North of Safeco Field. It is a very large taproom, designed to accommodate the after game crowd. I visited on a Saturday night (a non-game night). The place was absolutely dead. There may have been 6 other customers in this very large joint. I'm sure it would have been much different on game day, but I was expecting at least a moderate crowd. Not the case.
The facilities were modern and beautiful Definitely a spots bar feel with just enough brewpub built in. I was looking to pick up a t-shirt or may be a hat, but they did not offer any. The food was fancy pub food and just OK. Like food that you might get a a Chili's or a TGIF. The beer though, saved the day. Excellent beer. (Space dust was my favorite).
Left to right Space Dust - IPA 8.2% abv, 4 Hearts Dayglow - IPA 6.5% abv, 3.5 Hearts Prometheus - IPA 6.7%, 3 Hearts Elysian of Boom! - IPA 6.5%, 3.5 Hearts Dragonstooth Stout 7.45% abv, 3 Hearts |
Located just across the street from Century Link Field (Seahawks) and down the street from Safeco Field (Mariners). |
Same view at night. |
Saturday night around 8 pm and this place is almost empty. |
