Bdawg says:  This is definitely the most popular brewery in downtown Asheville.  It is the one that everyone talks about.  It has a very large seating area in the front that is packed at all hours.  It was busy and bustling, which is a good thing.  The food looked good.  the beer, was average.  

Here's a hint.  If you can't get a seat outside, go to the down stairs bar.  They actually serve a few more beers down there.  Although our bartender was not very friendly, snobby and seemed to be bothered by his customers.  It defiantly had a touristy, get you in, get you out atmosphere.  They also brew sours at the Wicked Weed Funkatorium a few blocks away.  I actually prefer the beer and the the atmosphere at the Funkatorium.
